When your waste toner box is full, your machine will stop printing. Here's how to replace it quickly and safely.
Only replace the waste toner box when the machine tells you it is full. The device will show a flashing red light and printing will have stopped before you need to do this.
Open the front door — this is the larger panel with the device model name printed on it.
Remove the full waste toner box (WTB) by pushing the blue tabs on either side outward to release it.
Remove the new WTB from its packaging, and take out the blue cover and the disposal bag from the box.
Place the blue cover onto the used WTB you just removed.
Place the used WTB into the disposal bag for safe disposal.
Insert the new WTB into the machine between the two blue tabs until it clicks and locks securely into place.
Spill advice
If toner spills onto your hands, wash immediately with soap and cold water. If toner spills on the floor, do not rub it in — carefully remove with a dry cloth or vacuum.
